Since 1996, Jamie Robinson has worked at the local, state and national level to educate and support business and government partners to reduce unconscious bias about disability, generate inclusive cultures and increase hiring and retaining people with disabilities. As Financial Empowerment and Workforce Manager and member of the National Training and Technical Assistance Team at National Disability Institute, Jamie is specialized in workforce systems change, including integrating financial capability strategies into service delivery systems and employee services.
Jamie maintains working knowledge as a former disability benefits counselor for beneficiaries of SSI/SSDI and is experienced working for and in collaboration with Centers for Independent Living. Jamie holds a master’s degree in Deafness Rehabilitation from New York University and is fluent in American Sign Language. She is a board member on the Global Deaf Aid Foundation, which promotes access to education, culture, technology and justice for Deaf individuals worldwide through their native sign languages. She resides in the Greater Boston Area with husband and two children, and is actively involved in expanding access and awareness within the d/Deaf, Deaf-Blind and hard-of-hearing community throughout New England.
