Real Economic Impact (REI) Tour Archive
National Disability Institute's Real Economic Impact Tour (REI Tour) was a national movement begun in 2005 of more than 900 partners in more than 100 communities. The REI Tour helped more than 1.5 million people with disabilities take steps out of poverty by providing access to financial education and asset building programs as well as free volunteer income tax assistance resulting in more than $1.4 billion in tax refunds sowed the seeds National Disability Institutes Real Economic Impact Network. By demonstrating the systems change that is possible when public and private partners work together to advance a single goal, the REI Tour helped pave the way for people with disabilities to take steps toward pursuing their American dreams.
