Financial Success Collaborative (formerly "B.E.S.T. Alliance")
The Financial Success Collaborative is National Disability Institute's peer to peer model for improving the financial capability of young adults with and without disabilities. A student-led College/University club, the Financial Success Collaborative is dedicated to promoting healthy money habits & financial fitness for ALL students through a fun, interactive peer-to-peer mentoring environment. The Financial Success Collaborative creates an inclusive model that brings together diverse college students from a College/University's business school, disability resource center, veterans' services, transition programs and other departments on campus to jointly provide an outlet to enhance all students' financial capability while in college.
The objectives of the Financial Success Collaborative are to:
- build students awareness of financial wellness while in college to create healthy financial habits that continue after students graduate
- provide financial education classes to disabled and non-disabled students to prepare them to serve as financial mentors to their peers, and to create an inclusive community of practice.
